India Has Announced 17 Member Squad and Five Players as the Standby for the Icc Under 19 World Cup in 2022

The teams will play the Under 19 World Cup in 2022 in West Indies from 14th January 2022 to 5th February 2022. The Indian board, Board of Control for Cricket in India – BCCI has announced the squad for this marque ICC event of the Under 19 Indian side. The BCCI has announced a team of 17 members, and they have kept five players on standby.

Yash Dhull, the batsman from Delhi, will lead the Indian team in the Under 19 World Cup in 2022, and SK Rasheed from Andhra will be the vice-captain of this team. This team also has two wicket keepers, Dinesh Bana from Haryana and Aaradhya Yadav from Uttar Pradesh. The team also has five players as a standby – Rishi Reddy, Uday Saharan, Ansh Gosavi, PM Singh Rathore, and Amrit Raj Upadhya.

India has won the Under 19 World Cup four times, and they also were close to winning their fifth title in 2019. In this edition, India will start its ICC Under 19 World Cup in 2022 against South Africa at Guyana on 15th January 2022. Then India will take on the Irish men in Trinidad and Tobacco on 19th January 2022. India will also play against Uganda on 22nd January 2022 at the same venue they face Ireland.

The Under 19 World Cup in 2022 will have 48 games in all, and teams will be divided into four groups. The top two winning teams of the groups will progress to the next level of Super League Stages of this ICC event to decide the winner of the Under 19 tournament, and the teams who finish in third and fourth place will have to play a playoff round.

Yash Dhull (c), Harnoor Singh, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, SK Rasheed (vice-captain), Nishant Sindhu, Siddarth Yadav, Dinesh Bana (wk), Aaradhya Yadav (wk), Raj Angad Bawa, Manav Parakh, Kaushal Tambe, RS Hangargekar, Vasu Vats, Vicky Ostwal, Ravikumar, Garv Sangwan.

The Five players who are on standby for the ICC Under 19 World Cup in 2022 are

Rishi Reddy, Uday Saharan, Ansh Gosavi, PM Singh Rathore, and Amrit Raj Upadhya.
