Sunrisers Hyderabad to Rope in Dale Steyn as Their Bowling Coach for the IPL 2022 Season

The orange army of the SRH – Sunrisers Hyderabad will rope in Dale Steyn as their bowling coach for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League 2022. After playing this cash-rich league tournament as a player, The Steyn Gun will start his new innings in the IPL as a bowling coach after the SRH franchise offered Dale this role.

The franchise will announce this news by next week if all go well for Steyn and SRH. The legendary South African pacer has played 95 matches in the India Premier League, and he has retired from all forms of crickets, including the franchise cricket league in 2021 August. Dale Steyn will be working as the bowling coach with Tom Moody, the orange army’s head coach.

Steyn has had a stellar International career for the Proteas Nation. He has picked up 439 wickets in just 93 Test matches played for his country.  Steyn is even regarded as the best pace bowler of all time in cricket history. Steyn has also played the IPL for Deccan Chargers, Surisers Hyderabad, and Royal Challengers Bangalore earlier.

Steyn has also represented South Africa in the fifty overs format. He has played 125 One Day International matches, and he has taken 196 wickets to his name. Dale has also played 47 T20Is matches for the Proteas nation, and in that, he has got 96 wickets in the shortest format. Steyn has taken 97 scalps from 95 IPL matches in this cash-rich league tournament.

Till now, Dale Steyn hasn’t responded to any of the messages. But an IPL official has said that Dale Steyn and the SRH franchise are in the confirmed negotiations, and the orange army wants to hire the South African for this role, and Hemang Badani will also join the SRH franchise in the coaching staff. Badani was an Indian all-rounder who also played for his state Tamil Nadu.

Trevor Bayliss and Brad Haddin had left their coaching stints of the SRH Franchise after they had a disappointing IPL 2021 season. So now, the orange army will need new faces as their coaches for the upcoming 15th season of the Indian Premier League.  VVS Laxman, who mentored the SRH team, will no longer be with this franchise because VVS is the head coach of India’s Under 19 team and India A side at the NCA.

Tom Moody was the director of the SRH side, and now he has been recalled in the Orange Army as the head coach alongside Dale Steyn as the bowling coach, and Hemang Badani will also be in the coaching role of the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Orange Army. The franchise will be led by the Kiwi captain, Kane Williamson, as of now.
