Sunrisers Hyderabad Include a West Indian and Aussie Legend in Their Coaching Staff for the IPL 2022 Season

The Sunriers Hyderabad franchise has roped in many senior cricketers in their coaching staff for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League 2022 season. Tom Moody is the head of the SRH franchise, and Dale Steyn was recently hired as their bowling coach for this fifteenth season of the cash-rich league tournament.

Now the orange army of the Sunrisers Hyderabad has also included the West Indian legendary batsman Brian Lara in their coaching setup as their batting coach and strategic advisor. With that, Simon Katich will be on their coaching staff as an assistant coach. The orange army’s new coaching setup says that the SRH team wants to make a men’s mark after a poor campaign in IPL 2021 season.

Indian former player Hemang Badani will also be in the coaching role of the Sunrisers Hyderabad for this IPL 2022 season. Badani will serve the SRH franchise as fielding coach and scout. The Aussie legend Simon Katich will take over as the assistant coach from another Aussie player, Brad Haddin. Before, Simon worked as the assistant coach for the Royal Challengers Bangalore – RCB franchise. But Katich wasn’t a part of the second half of the IPL 2021 season in the United Arab Emirates due to his reasons.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad team has made wholesale changes in their coaching staff after a poor show in the last season. The SRH franchise was the last team on the points table, and they couldn’t even qualify for the playoffs berth because they had just one win under their belt. David Warner was also removed as their captain and player. As of now, Kane Williamson will be the leader of the orange army team.

Sunrisers Hyderabad had reached the playoff berth for five straight seasons of the Indian Premier League. Now they have part ways with Trevor Bayliss, and Tom Moody, who was the director of the SRH franchise, will be their head coach for this season. VVSLaxman also quit the mentor’s role, and he will join the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore as the head coach.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise won their maiden and only tile of the India Premier League in the IPL 2016 season. That was under the captaincy of David Warner, and in the IPL 2018 season, SRH reached the final of this cash-rich league tournament. Muttiah Muralidharan, the Sri Lankan legend, will still be a part of this franchise. Murali will work as a mentor and spin bowling coach of the orange army.

CVC Sports to get the clearance soon

CVC Sports is the owner of the new IPL franchise Ahmedabad. They will get a clearance from the BCCI soon. The matters have been settled, and the regulator, BCCI, and the stakeholder, CVC Sports, need to sign an agreement. The signed papers will develop the movement of the agreement papers so the external committee will look at the business of the American Venture firm received by the BCCI.

The CVC Sports has received an oral clearance by the panel of the BCCI, and in that panel, a retired judge of the Supreme Court is also present.  Gary Kirsten, the world cup winning Indian coach, is in the race of being in the support staff of the Ahmedabad franchise, and this new franchise is in talks with Ravi Shastri, the former coach of India, Bharat Arun, R Sridhar, and England batsman, Vikram Solanki for the coaching roles. The American Venture firm will decide after they sign on the dotted lines.
