A new development yesterday has totally changed the course of the world test championship. Cricket Australia has postponed the test series between Australia and South Africa. Because of that news, New Zealand have certainly qualified for the finals of the world test championship.
Australia’s tour of South Africa was scheduled for March this year. Due to the second wave of coronavirus and a new strain, there are very few chances of this series happening in the future. Australia and South Africa’s hopes of playing the final of the test championship at Lord’s were depended on this series. South Africa is now absolutely out of this tournament. Australia will eagerly wait for the results of the test series between India and England.

Australia is third on the points table. They will qualify for the final only if the series between India and England ends in a draw.
The final of the test championship will be played on 18th June 2021. If Australia manages to travel to South Africa before the deadline, then the entire story will again see a change.
